It’s noon and you’re all sleeping…slackers.

<begin message>

So it’s noon, and most of my friends are all sleeping still. Y’all are slackers! Get off your lazy behinds and be productive members of society. Heh. Ok, fine, maybe it’s still before dawn where you guys are, but for me, it’s almost 1pm.

We’re going to eat lunch very soon, but I figured while I’m waiting I could post something on here. I think tomorrow or the next day will be a good day to update my main blog, since tonight is going to be our information meeting. A brief rundown of yesterday goes as such:

Started the day eating with David and Amanda. We then went shopping at two small markets, then went to a BestBuy type place called MediaMarkt (it has everything from computers, cell phones, dvds and cameras to fridges, blenders and espresso machines.) Anyway, we got back to the church, talked about some stuff, had a late (3:30) lunch, and talked some more. Around 5:30 we went with Katy to her language class at the Volkschule and helped them. The first class of hers was beginning intermediates. Then we went into Randy’s class, which was a refresher English course. They were awesome in there. One of the guys picked up idioms really well. Then we went back into Katy’s classroom, which now had beginning students. They were funny, and even though they were beginners, they spoke really well.

Then we got back to the church/house, and had a late (9:30) dinner. I ate quickly, and headed back to the Duckecks.

This morning we didn’t have much to do, but we went around to some other stores and now we’re about to eat. Later tonight are the info meetings, so we’ll be working on getting ready for those too.

Anyway, I’m out for now.

Tschuess.

Rule 1: Don’t blog when you’re hungry.

<begin message>

You may ask yourself why I would title this post as such, unless of course, you know me, and know how my brain cannot function without something in my stomach. Such is the case right now, but I am obviously forsaking that knowledge for the time being.

For the past few days, it’s been getting up to 90 during the day, and down to 60. Today, it’s a high of 60 and raining. Good ol’ New Mexico. Hopefully tomorrow and Saturday are beautiful days for travelling…

My youth minister is going to take me out to lunch today, and we’ll talk about life and the trip and he’ll pray for it and me. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t eaten yet, since I’m going out to lunch soon.

Last night was cool, because I got to talk to my youth group about the trip. I went up there not even knowing if I coud talk for 5 minutes. The next thing I know, I’m being asked a final question, because apparently I talked for 25 minutes or so. I handed around a notebook for them to sign up on my email updates, and I got about 15 new people! I’m almost at 50. :)

It’s 10:30 right now. 12 hours from now I should be asleep, because 5 hours from then I need to be driving down to the airport so I can get through security and whatnot by 6. Oi vey.

The next time I blog, I’ll be in Germany! WOOT!

Viel Lieb,

K.M.
