Hannover

Well, I did my best to follow the Red Thread (as pictured here) but after about 1.5 hours, I lost it. Like, it was there, then I came to a corner, and there was construction, and I couldn’t find where it continued. So after that, I just wandered. On my picasa web album, you can see 118 pictures I took from my trip to Hannover. It was pretty cool there. There were stages set up all over the city for some reason, with just random bands playing. Oh, at one point, when I was walking in one section, there were two girls behind me, and they were talking english. But they looked a bit young, so I didn’t want to turn around and start talking to them, since I figured that’d probably freak them out a bit.

While there, I went into a bookstore that was pretty big (3 stories). I was able to find a Moleskine notebook! That made me happy, so I bought one. We also went in a huge department store that was 5 stories high, and on the bottom story was a grocery store. They had an American section! Heh…it had macaroni and cheese! And refried beans! And tabasco sauce…even chipotle! (I think Chipotle is the only good type of Tabasco, since it’s not so vinegary.) Anyway, I’m pretty sure I’ll visit that section alot when I come back for my internship. They also had hot pepper! :D

Anyway, yesterday was fun. I even fell asleep on the U-Bahn…haha. That wasted about 20 minutes worth of time.I’m not sure what I’m going to do today. At 8:45 is the Spain-Italy game, which should be really good. Last night was Netherlands vs Russia, and there wasn’t a score in the whole first half. Oi. That’s at least better than the Croatia-Turkey game the other night, where there wasn’t a score until the 118th minute! (That’s 2 minutes before the end of overtime.)
